Well, it has been over two months since my last update. Until recently, I haven't had a lot to write about. We survived out first Christmas here in Baltimore. There were days that I wasn't sure that we would, but with strength from God, we were able to make it!

Sarah is growing up too fast!!! She will be 16 months old Wednesday. She is running every where and her personality is really showing through now! She has become a HUGE fan of Dora! She is talking a lot more and some what making sense of what she is saying and what we are saying. She is getting a little too good at saying no to us!! Hope that it isn't a sign of things to come!

The past two weeks have been difficult for us. Over two weeks ago, we got a phone call from Joe's mom telling us that his nephew was in the hospital. A few days later, we got one saying that his nephew's heart had stopped and that he was placed on life support. To make a long story short, especially since I think all of you know the end, his nephew passed away. We were able to be there with our family when it happened.

The passing of our nephew brought back a few emotions for me. Emotions that I had prayed I wouldn't feel again. Yes, our child never had the opportunity to live and breath outside the womb, it still hurt and took time to get there.

Satan has really been attacking Joe and I in the last year. Times I wondered if he was just after us. Those times have made us stronger and helped us to grow. We cherish every moment that we have with Sarah and I pray that no parent takes their child(ren) for granted.

Well, history was made yesterday!! I am really nervous for our country and even the world. I know that all over here, myspace and facebook, people are posting their thoughts about yesterday's results. I debated on whether I would and decided that I wanted to.

I am exctied to see that America has finally been able to push past the racial barriers and voted in someoen who wasn't white. I am excited to see that it was able to happen in my lifetime. I don't think that many people thought that it would ever happen. As many have said it, Martin Luther King's dream has come true!! Am I happy that it was Obama that did it.....not really.

As I watched the Today show this morning, I was brought to tears. Tears of fear for the world. As they showed video from across America and the world, I watched as many people were excited that Obama was elected. It brought to my mind the things that the book of Revelation says. I think that too many people across the world are embracing Obama. I don't see American's excited about who won the election in Brazil.

Also, as I watched the end of Obama's speech, I wonder what the people who voted for him thought when he said that the change will may not happen in a year, or two years, or it may not even happen in the first term? I thought that he was all about change???? Being an officer, I understand that you shouldn't change things right away, but after four years, I would think that the change would already be taking place.

Well, I know that God is in control and that whatever His will is, will happen. I will pray for our country.

Wow!!! I can't believe that it has been three weeks since I last updated!!! We have been very busy around here!!

I'll start with a Sarah update.....she is walking all over the place now, well, actually running!!! She doesn't like to be carried around very much anymore. She has two teeth, with a few more coming in!!!Someone said that she looked like a carved pumpkin!!!

The last two weekends have been extremely busy. We started a Women's Fitness group here at the corps. Originally, I was just to take care of the first week, but I was asked to do every week. I have lost nine pounds!!! Yay!!! I think that some of that was due to the fact that I bought a new scale to leave at the corps. For the group, I am using the book "Thin Within". I is a great book and I encourage everyone who is wanting to lose a few pounds to get this book!! Last weekend, we also had a young adult family cookout and then a soldiers' rally at the corps on Sunday evening. We had a great turnout for the rally!! 128!! And this was our first rally that we have hosted. In Moundsville, they were always cancelled due to the weather! I kept being told that I was buying too much food, but in the end, we had jsut enough!!

This past Saturday, a group of us from the corps took a trip to a corn maze. We had a great time. Only 5 people were able to finish...I wasn't one of them because nature called!!! All of us were very tired yesterday at church and I think probably most of us, took a nap when we got home.....we did in our house!

Well, I need to get Sarah ready for school. Hope everyone has a great day!

I wanted to share Sarah's one year pictures. She is a little model after this. They asked to use her pictures in the studio and also to have them placed in the photographers portfolio. I can't believe that she is one!!!

Yay for Saturday and not being busy!! This week has been mad crazy!!! Joe left Monday for disaster work, leaving me with lots to be done. Luckily we have some great locals that have been willing to step in and help me out!

Tomorrow is Sarah's birthday!!! She will be one! I can't believe that this time last year, I was at the hospital anticipating the arrival of our little baby and if we were having a girl or a boy!! Sarah is walking all over the place. She is almost to the point where she would rather walk or crawl to get around. She normally walks until she falls or realizes that she moves faster crawling. I figure in a few weeks she will be stricly walking. She also has her first tooth and more are coming in. We are going to have Sarah's party once Joe returns from disaster work.

Well, I am ready for breakfast amd coffee!!!
